DESCRIPTION:Stage3\, in collaboration with The BMTR Project\, is proud to present a special staged reading of BLACK TO MY ROOTS: African American Tales from the Head and the Heart by Kathya Alexander and Reneschia Brown\, alongside a selection from MWEUSI MPAKA MIZIZI by Muso Simekha (a Swahili translation of the play).The staged reading will take place on Sunday\, March 2\, 2025\, at Stage3 in Kingston\, WA - https://BTMR.eventbrite.com The event will begin at 2 PM with an optional potluck gathering\, giving attendees the opportunity to enjoy food and conversation before the performance. The show will start promptly at 3 PM\, offering a powerful presentation of both works.The event will be hosted by Auntmama\, a dynamic storyteller\, DJ\, and Emcee\, known for her vibrant energy and engaging presence.
