Author Reading & Discussion with Casey Tonnelly
Wednesday, July 8, 2026 (6:00 PM - 7:00 PM) (PDT)
Description
Join author Casey Tonnelly for an intimate reading and discussion of Striving for Antiracism: My Imperfect Journey. In a time when racism, division, and authoritarianism continue to threaten our communities, this conversation will explore why confronting racism remains essential to the broader fight against fascism and to building a more just, inclusive society.
Through personal stories, reflection, and honest dialogue, Casey will share lessons from their own imperfect journey and invite participants into a conversation about courage, accountability, and collective action. Together, we'll explore how fear of making mistakes can keep us from engaging in antiracism work—and why progress, not perfection, is what matters.
Designed as an intimate gathering, this event offers an opportunity to connect with neighbors and community members, engage in meaningful discussion, and strengthen the relationships that help us resist division and build belonging. Whether you're just beginning your antiracism journey or seeking renewed connection and purpose, you'll leave with practical insights, hope, and a deeper appreciation for the power of community.
